Summary

After years of extensive research, in conjunction with new archeological evidence, and with the aid of satellite technology, Christos A。 Djonis credibly reveals that Plato based his story of Atlantis on a real prehistoric setting, now beneath 400 feet of water。 Never before has there been a real discovery where all the physical characteristics of a proposed location matched Plato's description of Atlantis。 Not even the original Santorini hypothesis could sufficiently meet the given criteria。
We now have a real discovery where all the physical characteristics, along with Plato's given chronology, flawlessly match, and they are precisely in the exact order as Plato depicted。 Moreover, DNA and archaeological evidence of an advanced Neolithic civilization occupying the prehistoric submerged island, at around 9600 BC, further confirm a perfect case scenario。

An interesting read that sparks the imagination。 Well researched, it reads a bit more like a thesis than your typical history, but that works well with the subject matter。

Mr。 Djonis has written two books that I just love, Atlantis: The Find of a Lifetime and Uchronia- Atlantis Revealed。 If you read Uchronia, some of the same material is found in Atlantis however; it is much more detailed and has more thought provoking ideas。 Plato's story of Atlantis (written about 360 BC) gives us information to locate this island; even though most of the island is now underwater。I must say that both of the books, will give a reader pause, to think about the what if's and the wh Mr。 Djonis has written two books that I just love, Atlantis: The Find of a Lifetime and Uchronia- Atlantis Revealed。 If you read Uchronia, some of the same material is found in Atlantis however; it is much more detailed and has more thought provoking ideas。 Plato's story of Atlantis (written about 360 BC) gives us information to locate this island; even though most of the island is now underwater。I must say that both of the books, will give a reader pause, to think about the what if's and the why nots of this part history。 If our history keeps changing; just think about the history regarding the city of Troy; once a thought of as a fable but located near Turkey。 Why can't Atlantis be a real place and not just a cautionary tale?Mr。 Djonis states what he has found as facts and even he asks in the book, why can't this be real? After reading his book you will re-think everything you were taught in history class or even your literature class。 An excellent read for a book club, the questions, that will open discussions, are right in the chapters you are currently reading。 。。。more
